Introduction to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - Zoom Meeting
Brown University qualified teacher Bonnie Weiss will offer sample meditation practices for health in addition to discussing stress response and resilience, mindfulness and neuroplasticity, and the history, science, and benefits of MBSR.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is the gold standard of using meditation in medical settings and has over forty years of aggregate data showing positive effects for patients with dozens of conditions from chronic pain to anxiety.
It was founded at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital as a secular application of ancient Buddhist practices offering mental, emotional, physical and social well-being.
In this introductory program, Brown University qualified teacher Bonnie Weiss will offer sample meditation practices for health in addition to discussing stress response and resilience, mindfulness and neuroplasticity, and the history, science, and benefits of MBSR.
The Presenter Bonnie Weiss is the owner of The School of Mindful Arts through which she has been teaching mindfulness meditation and contemplative art to children for eight years. Since completing her MBSR Teacher Qualifications through Brown, she has added the adult education division: Maitri Mindfulness-Meditation for Health with the intention of helping participants increase their sense of agency and wholeness no matter what their physical condition might be.
