Each year, Art in the Garden offers a training in trauma-informed care for teachers, staff, families and the wider community. The 2023 focus is Creating Joy, Healing, and Repair Through Communities of Belonging.

Join OMA Pittsburgh to explore what trauma-informed care looks like and why it must specifically create communities of belonging. This event is for educators, therapists, parents, caregivers, camp counselors, teen leaders and anyone interested in learning more about supporting themselves and youth on a healing journey. Participants will leave this training with concrete tools for caring for oneself and others as well as a broad perspective on why trauma informed care is both an individual healing practice and a systemic intervention into creating a more just and supportive world for all.

ALL ARE WELCOME! Act 48 hours available.

Trauma-Informed Training provides knowledge and applicable holistic skills that can be used with a diverse population of children, youth, adults, families and the elderly. This training gives alternative options for healing, growth and the ability to thrive in one’s life, family and community.
